Seek truth, I have spoken personally to an Uighur expat whose aunt and a cousin have been disappeared into the camps. She says that people in the uighur community are very afraid, and that those in China cannot say anything on the phone for fear of being taken. Its real. She is just a regular person, no ax to grind. China is doing a great job of shutting people up.

Did you even look at the testimonies on the shahit site? I spoke to Gene Bunin too, he said another reason this doesn't get out is that most Uighurs do not speak English. But the main reason is the fear. Can you please at least do some research - talk to real people who are involved - before spouting the party line?

"The fiction that one million Uyghurs are in ‘internment camps’ – spread by dodgy news services – is precisely that, a fiction." Yeah, the barbed wire, the restrictions on using your phone, etc. are all fiction -- because Boer says so. As for education and training for economic equality, look at the photo for an example: training in low-level, low-paying jobs.

In Xinjiang, the police checks everywhere are so bad that the Han residents hate them, too.

At least their hands in the picture are not damaged! yes those are probably the luckier ones. What about the elderly Uighurs who come back from the camps in wheelchairs, with broken hands, with marks of torture or who do not come back at all? https://shahit.biz/eng . Please read the over 3000 individual testimonies before you do this glib defense
